I just assume the worse unless someone says. If you don't want heading hold and can fly then do ignore what I've said. I've been impressed by the flasher stuff from Wings Wheels and Rotors. Trex mechanical stuff is worth getting second hand. Some Giant Cod things are good like the batteries and main blades, but other things are variable. You certainly don't get what you pay for anymore.Originally posted by dvc View PostIm not new to it. Im returning. On my old beltCP i was in past hover phase of learning and crashes were limited to indoor crashes only
. Also never used hh gyro before so cant say anything about them, but "mastered" standard gyro on that heli. Have phoenix already.Flasher 450 Sport. Assan GA250 with 520 tail servo, MKS DS450 cyclic.

A couple of blokes from my club fly hk450's and swear by them; they seem to fly ok but they do buy a good gyro and tail servo apart from that all cheap stuff.
At the price you aint exactly gonna loose much!Gravity is your best and worst friend!

i'd love to build one, but with all the cheap 2nd stuff out there i just can't say no, for instance, i'm just back from pegasus £250 lighter but with a trex 500 in the bag, all nice and nearly new with loads of shiny alloy bits and c/f frame, last week it was a quark, next week maybe a 50/90 nitro, all pretty much for less than i paid for the mini titan and tx.traxxas bandit
quark sg

Didn't mean it like that, I was just saying what they did - one of them is using a PT GT9! they are spot on and not too expensive. My thoughts are that those two parts are probably the most important for stability that's why it's worth spending on good ones. These guys buy 2 airframes at a time - good way to get a crash kit!!!Originally posted by dvc View PostI said i never used hh gyro... i actually had one. what i ment i always used it in rate mode as hh didnt really work. you know what im sayin. you expect it to work it doesnt you are frustrated you crash

This may be a bit more than you want to spend, but I'm thinking of getting a Flasher Sport. I starteed out looking at the base price and I've moved up to the rx ready combo for about £200. Assuming you have already bought something from them to get the 5% discount. My existing heli has been flying for about a year and I've now bent the frame. It's the crappy metal one. It still flies ok and I'd like to fit a carbon or glass frame, but stocks are low. Should I get a 1k or a 3k frame. I can't really believe the price of the Flasher.
£50 more seems to buy a lot....Flasher 450 Sport. Assan GA250 with 520 tail servo, MKS DS450 cyclic.
