  • bind issue

my 450 sport has decided that shortly after it lifts off the tail kicks round and the orange bind light begins to flash, i have tried a rebind, different batts, checked and wiggled all the wires made sure the plugs are properly in the rx etc etc, but cant find the problem, the strange thing is i put 2 batts through it earlier this afternoon without issue, then went out with it tonight and the problem returned any thoughts anyone

Make sure there is a ferrite ring on the feed to the reciver to block any rf noise and maks sure the battery -ve is grounded to the motor mount and you get continunity to both the tail booma nd tail gearbox...

That'll fix it in most cases...

Could be static from the belt, you could ground the tail boom, I have never done it because I fly 35mhz still, the static is sometimes a problem on spektrum 2.4 rx's.

I had a problem which i thought was a binding issue with my crappy evolution 180, it turned out to be a jammed servo, i put a new one on and it worked ok.

just one thing to add if i take blades off and spin it up full throttle its ok, then when i put blades back on it does it again so im assuming when blades are on its pulling more amps and maybe leads to the problem??

The problem is the power source im guessing the bec output as I have the same thing happens when I use my 6v external pack to set up my heli's if I start moving the collective quickly it stutters and then I get a binding issue ..
Which esc are you using and can you check it's output ??

checked output of esc and its showing 5.97v so im assuming thats good, but does this mean that the esc is ok or not?

What type of flashes do you get from the Rx? Slow and regular?
