  • Getting Brave Now LOL

I've been flying fixed pitch for a bit now but only been flying CP for a couple months now, Mostly with the MCPX, But over the last fortnight i've managed to transfer everything i've learnt on the mcpx to my HB King 3, To the point where tonight i managed to pull off several sucsessful invert hovers with only one near miss when i lost orientation for a moment and managed to save it about 6 inches off the deck (made me clench a little i must admit lol)

My confidence is building sky high with every flight i make and i love every second any of my birds are in the air

LOL , Got to admit the MCPX has been a massive help in the learning curve, But things just seem to be clicking into place with the King 3 now, Where as before i used to get the shakes something rotten just hovering it, Now i can do a full 5 1/2 mins of circuits, lazy 8's, loops, flips and rolls.
Yeah admittedly they aint the prettiest moves ever but im getting tidier every time i go up now, Even had a bash at a tick tock the other night! Now that wasn't pretty at all but the way i see it is if you don't try you will never know if you can do it.

Mine fly's super stable, Got good head speed though (using 4000kv motor with 10t pinion) I know its only a cheap heli but i really cant fault it (maybe bar the stupid amount of flex in the frame), I find it really easy to fly.

                PMSL.

I will get some vids up soon, Problem I've got is im the only one in the group of us that fly together that can actually video us flying without mostly getting sky or ground with the odd guest appearance of the heli , But will try again next time im out.

Bit of a mixed night tonight

Here is a slightly dodgy vid of me flying (a stated before lots of sky with guest appearances of the heli lol)

                    http://youtu.be/MRJfWuXR8cI

And here are some pics after i had a go at some tick tock's again

Believe it or not it went into the ground at near full head speed and i got away with only breaking the blades (new on today!!!), Bent Flybar, Bent Feathering shaft, bent tail shaft, one broken linkage and broke one of the skid bars. Oh and the canopy was demolished.

Well the King 3 is all fixed and ready to crash again lol,
Had a few parts already but only cost me £5 to get back in the air, Also my HK450Pro turned up yesterday, Very impressed in the quality for a cheap heli, I'll be building it up this weekend and hopefully getting out with both on Monday eve (weather permitting)

Gives me hope though.I just bought an mcpx off here and cant wait for it to arrive.I am like a heli god on the sim (A bold claim?) but a complete bottler over the field. All i do is pretty much hover my raptor tail in (it still scares the sh1t out of me).I havent even braved a circuit with any of my helis.I have promised myself that when my cpp2 is back together i will stop being a wimp and fly the damn thing around.I am hoping the mcpx will give me the training and confidence to fly my other helis properly. The sim has been a great help but i do not have the balls to fly the same way over the field
