Your doing what I did mate, jumping in at the deep end.
I bought a nitro heli as my first real heli. Little did I know just how complicated these things are, and what sort of skill is needed to keep these things in the air.
Ideally you should start off with a simulator like phoenix. This will help teach you things like orientation and the controls etc...
Then most people will buy something like a blade msr micro heli or even a trex 450 to start with then move on to bigger things from there.
If you buy a nitro as your first heli, I'd advise you to join a club so they can help show you how to set them up and how to fly it safely. You may even find someone who will be willing to buddy lead you whilst you learn to hover. Failing that, book a lesson with a instructor, that will help get you in the air a bit sooner
Sorry but I couldn't tell you about the prices of trex 600s

Also i will be learning on a flight sim for a while bofore i touch the heli - unless i can find some 1 that will help me learn

I was working up there a few weeks ago. Your more than welcome to come down to the club I fly at. Theyre always very welcoming, and extremely helpful. They gave me the encouragement and confidence I needed to start hovering my heli, then after a lesson with the instructor, I was doing circuits and figure of 8s. Well worth coming down if you get the time.

That wouldnt be a bad idea soon as i get a heli and equipment.
Only then is relying on my familey to get me there and back but shouldnt be much of a problem

Up to you what you get it the end, the raptor 30 is a very good starter nitro heli in my opinion it only sips fuel and is relatively cheap to maintain. The bigger the more stable but the more expensive to repair/maintain so thats a consideration. An electric trex 500 is another good option not too pricey but stable enough.
Get on pheonix sim until you can hover comfortably before having a go for real.
