There's a 600 being advertised on the bmfa website at the moment for £450 I think.
Ive recently baught a vision 50 comp, and I'm buying servos one month, engine the next month etc to help spread out the cost, you could try that.

Be careful fella, might sound a good price, but you will more than likely get stung for Import tax if buying from the US. just bear that in mind mate.
someones signature or quote on here said "only fly what you can afford to crash" - I can honestly say i love this hobby so much, i really cannot afford to crash!
I carnt wait to get my first heli - owned 1 before but didnt touch it just sold it straight on as i got ripped off by some man on ebay
It was a raptor 30 - gave me a load of cheap parts and a cheap transmitter was supose to have the 401 gyro and s9254 servo and a dx7 but received some makes i have never heard of before - Was well dispointed!
If you find a heli on eBay or the bmfa website, post a link up on the forum, and the guys on here will try and tell you if your getting a good deal, or being ripped off.

its a shame but this is realistic for this heli as to put one in the air is around £900, hang in there you may get a bargin 600 good for hovering. raptors are also a great starting heli they seem to float around with minimal stick input when set up right and they are not too expensive second hand happy hunting
