Hi all
I bought Phoenix and a DX7 a couple of weeks ago and can comfortably hover the T-Rex 450 SE model as long as I keep the tail towards me. I have made pitch and throttle curve setups in the DX7 to get normal, stunt 1 and stunt 2 flight modes, using the set-up described in Finless's 450SE videos. However, in normal and stunt 1 modes I have rudder, ele and aileron all with a +60 exp curve, in stunt 2 the control curves are linear. I can fly it in stunt 2 but it gets crazy very quickly.
I can transition to forward flight and back into the hover OK and I am not too bad with nose in hovering but I do get into problems with side on hovering, particulary with the tail pointing towards my left. Obviously I need to be be able to hold the heli still whatever its orientation but whenever I try to practice side on hovering I end up in FF.
Does anyone have any tips on how to practice this specifically? Does anyone have any comments about using exponential curves for my controls? Any help with what I should be practicing would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Bill
