my point exactly. you will be surprised what you can learn from it. dont spend any money on upgrades they wont help. take it steady dont run before you can walk. google it there are loads of video's some good a lot bad watch them learn from their mistakes. most of all have fun with itOriginally posted by loz View Postyeh i prob should hav joined this forum b4 i bought it, oh well too late now

Loz, Sorry if I have come across as seeming negative towards your heli. Its just that I did exactly the same as you and entered the hobby with a similar cheapy heli thinking it was the best way to get a toe in the hobby. I soon found out, as many others do, its not the way to do it. Yes your heli is poor quality and very hard to fly.Originally posted by loz View PostIs it seriously that bad? will it not fly or is it just that the quality isnt that great, explain what the issues are with this heli, if u dont mind, cheers
Anyway, on reflection, the best way for you to discover this is as Boggy says and go ahead and try it. Just dont let it put you off the hobby cos there are some really nice helis out there and they reall are great fun

Loz m8, You just aint going to get anything worth having for that sort of money unless your happy to go with one of the little indoor coaxial helis.
For a heli that can be sensibly be flown outside you need to be looking at spending £200.00 Plus, absolute minimum.Last edited by tiddler; 19-03-2011, 04:01 PM.

As I mentioned earlier the Blade 120SR is a good little heli and can be picked up RTF for about £115.00
Only draw back with this heli is it really doesn't like the wind
Other than that its a great little novice machine

I bet you can pick a 2nd hand blade 400 Fast Lad Performance up for £100-120ish, now that would be an improvement, I wouldn't learn on anything smaller than a 400 tbh if you can. Im sure a lad is selling 2 blades in the for sale section on here.Originally posted by loz View Postwhen u guys get a min can u let me know what the good the good helis are, i prob wouldnt spend more than about £100 on one at this stage, cheersSab Goblin 500

Don't forget that requires a Transmitter, Receiver, Battery and Charger on top of the purchase price.Originally posted by simon1 View PostI bet you can pick a 2nd hand blade 400 Fast Lad Performance up for £100-120ish, now that would be an improvement, I wouldn't learn on anything smaller than a 400 tbh if you can. Hi and welcome to the forum, the people on here really are helpful and worth listening too, I like you bought a walkera before looking into it, it lasted about 5 seconds, I thought just get it in the air, how hard can it be!!! Very hard as I found out!! After binning that I found a local club, went and introduced myself and was advised what to get, I ended up going for a raptor 50 and was helped with buddying to learn to fly, I also have the phoenix sim which is worth every penny, so I agree with the others to invest in the sim and see hoe you get on.
