Hi Lowrence.
welcome to the forum.
you best bet for safe easy learning is a simulator like Phoenix. I'm not sure if it's compatible wit your TX but some one will say soon.

Hi Loz and welcome to the forum
OK, what I'm about to say may not be what you want to hear, but it needs saying none the less.
My advise is, don't try and fly your Walkera. Its a very poor heli and will only give you grief
Box it up and sell it now while its still undamaged.
Then get yourself a decent radio like a Spektrum DX6i or DX7 and a copy of the Phoenix rc simulator. This will give you by far the best start into the world of heli flying.
If you still feel you want an actual heli to fly then something like the Eflite Blade 120SR would be a far more sensible choice

hmmm thats not good news, and whilst im sure yr probably right in what u say the dx6i and the sim is gonna cost me about £200 and I still wont have a heli, this walkera 22e has only cost me £79 so maybe i could just use this one to try and learn on and if i get any good with it get something better later on?Trex 500l Dominator

That I'm afraid is £79 down the drain. I understand if you feel I'm being over dramatic, I also understand that you will probably ignore this advise. Just don't say you weren't warned.Originally posted by loz View Posthmmm thats not good news, and whilst im sure yr probably right in what u say the dx6i and the sim is gonna cost me about £200 and I still wont have a heli, this walkera 22e has only cost me £79 so maybe i could just use this one to try and learn on and if i get any good with it get something better later on?

Oh come on Ron, you know as well as I that that heli will only give him grief and end up in a pile of bits that's not worth spending the repair costs on.Originally posted by Boggy View Postyou already have it Loz.Have a go just dont let it put you off the hobby at least you know there are better heli's out there

How similar is the walkera to the honeybee king two?
When i started, i crashed and had a now good freind set it up.
When its been setup by a competant person, you can learn to hover tail in, but dont expect to do much more.
I wouldnt say the money is wasted at this point, but if you try to do move than a tail in hover be ready to write it off, if bits dont fall off first!
I moved on from the HBK2 after mastering a full 12mins of tail in about 2 foot in the air.
The key to my learning this was, if the heli moved out of a 10ft square at any point, i would throttle down, TX on the floor, put heli to middle of the square, then start again. Dont be tempted to try to start a hover outside the square.
Good luck, but as above, there ARE better choices of first helis, much better.
