I can't wait to get nose in. I've done it once, by mistake. Was quite far from me, and I wanted to bring it back towards me, but side on. I brought it to far round, nose in, and it was hovering, and I though... mmm... this heli might break now! So I switched out around pretty quick, landed, and shouted..'Did you see that??'. Noone did.

The best view for me so far is when a pro brings the heli into to land, nose in, from height, and it's coming right at you. Looks fantastic! (Like the image on the left under my name of my heli nearly nose in - but I am standing off to the right, and flying side on...) Always wish I could do it. Some day...

As for flying the tail.. I think we had a poll about this, and 95% went for flying the nose. Nose in ... does this make a different? Stick to flying the nose?

i believe it will be far easier in the long run to fly it as if you were in the cockpit, so always think if the right side of the heli tips to the right, put some left on the cyclic. you just have to get your head around looking at it in this perspective, not just looking at it as moving left or right.

Finally, theres no substitute for good old stick time (wether it be real or sim ). Good luck!

Looks like someone understood what I was trying to say
Def fly as you were flying it from the cockpit

yup, trouble is, when you are learning, its really hard to get out of the habit, especially when you have religiously taught yourself to fly in one particular way!

Tried some of your tips tonight and got the heli realy grooving around in lazy 8s , what I discovered tonight is if you add rudder instead of ailleron to turn you hardly lose any hight at all which was affecting my flying with nose in . Now nose in ff is cool and coming along and I got that cocky I did a loop , roll , back flip , and inverted hover for about a second . Disaster coming better back off . Good , more like BRILLIANT fun . Love it when a plan comes together . Wish I had a flying buddy....
