i would try turning it up, how I do it is keep turning the gain up until the tail starts to wag while stationary hover, then turn it down a little until it stops wagging, on my dx6 and kds800 gyro, gain is set at 92% on tx, not saying yours will be that high, but thats how I do it
dont get scared, put it up bit by bit, it will be fine, then if it starts to wag then turn it down a touch, and see if that is better for your tail kicking
I dont know that one, one of other lads maybe able to help with that, I use a Align ds520 on my tail which comes with the 500 kit on my 450, and that is pleanty fast enough, where possible its always a good idea to have a decent servo on the tail, what servo is it?
In fact Finless is now standing up and saying that you CAN use sub trim for when you can't get that dead 90° by positioning alone.

This would depend greatly on the gyro.
