Xcel, Robbe and JR in that order from my experience, but I've never built an Avant or a Blitz, so could be mistaken.

you're going to get a million answers of buy this one its the best because they own that brand/model

the best heli to own is the one that you can get spares localy
but you will get buy brand x as the spares are cheap

          What is 'quality'?

          Is it flying ability?

          Is it parts manufacturing finishing?

          Is it assembly?

          Is it smoothness?

Is it 'smile on your face'?

          Is it spares availability?

          Is it price?

Is it all (or some) of the above?

If it was all of the above which would be near impossible it would be made by Carlsberg!

I have only had Align, Synergy and Avant so far.

Definitely not Align. Synergy was good quality but not for me. Avant is my choice.

Have flown JR and MA, both are also top quality

don't forget the kyosho f3c machines, they look good in the pictures and have the price tag to match but i've never seen one in the flesh
and yes the nexus isn't in the same class, good job

i've seen the pre-release avro of dave fishers and it looked a real good heli

the top spec hirobos look good also, i've seen the eagle wc2 or 3 in the flesh and you just drool at it

and don't forget the top line models need building correctly to get them to work right

although i've seen robgt's avant flying i've not had a real good close look at one but a fellow club member said he didn't like the quality of them, the one he knew had very poor gear mesh (and it was built by a well known heli shop)

There was an issue with that but it was sorted

I'm an Avant fan boy , but, there is nothing wrong with Align heli's. What I have found though is that with an Align heli you will need to replace parts before you smash them. With the higher end heli's you fix things as you break them, not as they fail
