to learn on Raptor 50 ... flies straight and easy to maintain ... good quality parts and they last ... but spares are a little more than say a trex ... personally ... compass heli's for me as I not flown another " 50 " yet that flies as nice .. and spares are pretty reasonable for them as well ... If I kill one of mine then its either a 3D+ or a synergy N5 .. sorry to all the align fanboys but I just wont buy a trex 600 ...
1... thats a 90 size lol....
2... very sure ....
3... even more sure .... cant comment on the outrage as never flown one ... and TBH pilots like that could make a turd look good
Don't get me wrong mate.. They are all great helis. Everything from a Flasher 600 --> raptor 30/50 --> The Outrage --> Ely.Q---> The Trex 600 (all the different versions!)
Everything... they are all brilliant.
The point is, you have various factors to decide on..
a) Are you confident enough to lift a bigger size heli up into the air.
I say this because, yes, they are much easier to fly than their smaller brothers/sisters BUT that does not mean they are EASY TO FLY. This leads me to a point (raised before) --> where do you intend to fly? Because If (and when) you crash, it is going to cost you dear, in all honesty.
A 90 size means faster head speed, more investment--> better/faster servos --> much more versatile.
b) Then comes the budget. Are you comfortable with the costs of these models... Kit wise or combo wise or second hand.
c) Last but not the least (and the most important, in my view) where does your heart lead you to? Which is that one heli, you can't stop thinking about? Forget everybody else in this world, for once and think... you must be in love with some machine out there... Figure that out... For some people, it is buying a cheaper one first ... fly..break...repair...fly...break..repair..fly..fl y...no break..repair... they learn to hold their ground and then dive in to buy that dream heli; For a few, it is diving and taking that plunge in only trusting in their gut instincts.
So mate, yes, everybody has their own favourites (based on dependable knowledge and experience, of-course).
Hence, for me, its the 600LE. (God, my heart melts when I just see that name!)
I'm sure whatever choice you make, you will make a brilliant one mate, cus every heli, out there is beautiful. Yes, they have their faults, but somehow we tend to outlook them... for their goodness.
Cheers mate,
Good luck and all the best.. cherish these moments, while they last!

I made the choice of a 50-size (600LE) over the 90-size ... the key point being that it fits in the book diagonally without having to put the back seats down

yeah well im glad you posted ...
i have been looking at some of the helis on youtube actually of of them and like i said my heart is for align thats where i find peace , i dont care how many times people slag of their 410m servo;s i pridefullly back them up and say you know what their servos are the best and so are their helis.
secondly after alot of comments from many kind flyers i realised im not ready and nor am i confident in flying it ;as a matter of fact i was crapping my pants watching those .90 blades spinning so fast only a few meters from the flyer. i mean one servo failure or wrong input ..thats it ..it'll chop of everyones head with seconds its very dangerous .you see what happened in FL US of shitty A. imagine if that was a .90 heli shed be lucky to be alive.
for only a small price of £929 .well its small considering how everything else is gone up in price these days were so lucky to have cheap helis.
anyway id still buy it and risk my life flying it.just havent got no where near that money :-( + plus my parents will have an epilepsy fit if they ever spot it in my bedroom.
theyll say i hope your not going to start worshipping that heli now.heh
I think on Page 1 Wasim says at this time he only has a budget of £100 , to £200 , so no point even talking about a 600 let alone a 700 , you maybe better of looking at a 2nd hand Raptor 30 or something like that . Rob .
Wasim you have a Great sense of humour mate loving your posts and wish you all the best in the future mate . Rob .
I think on Page 2 / Maybe 1 Wasim says at this time he only has a budget of £100 , to £200 , so no point even talking about a 600 let alone a 700 , you maybe better of looking at a 2nd hand Raptor 30 or something like that . Rob .
100 or 200 quid???

if you don't mind belt-drive, we will release flasher600 CF-belt with Cyclic servox3, Tail servox1, governor, 2in1 regulator made by phoenixtech, plus YS engine, NHP blades.
We will test the new servos in the next week or 2, should get some video here once we done it.
we try to make a good everyday heli at a reasonable price. the only way to get the price down is make everything ourself, so there is no middle man.

On top of the £929 you would also need engine, muffler, servo not to mention the starting gear and 7 channel tx if gov is used.
guys thanks for your comments seems to me the 450 is the perfect size for me not too big and not too small considering all the cons and pros of a big heli.
Nitro has never appealed to nor was it ever my intention to buy a nitro ....why ?maybe coz theyre too noisy and dirty.i dont know. Just that the nitros are not for me although they do have theire advantages and some are really great. So i think il stick with the 450 pro .
im good with saving my bux so not too much of an issue wwhen it comes to money more specifically when it comes to helis.
I would have to say raptor 50 ,its easy to fly and will not intiminate you like some of the other 50 size helis and they are cheap as chips to buy, fly, and repair .there are alway pages and pages of spares and upgrades on flea bay
