very very difficult to do real damage to the electronics, might do the odd gear set or top case in a servo but they are 5ukp items.

i have been dealing with beginners, teaching them to fly and setup. trust me you will learn a lot quicker on something that flies nicely.

my whole family could retire! its a lesson some people will only learn from making the mistake.

you have to look at why these helis are being sold... the fall into 2 basic catagories

impulse buys that are being flogged on.

helis that are no longer wanted/needed.

The impulse buys tend to be kitted out with cheap gear, its very rare for a noob to go out and spend the full whack. Also built by a noob so your looking at stripping and rebuilding. 99% it will not be setup right and well require sorting.

with helis that have been used and are being sold on. its normally because they are either out of fassion, getting old, getting well used or the common one is to make up a complete heli from an old airframe, and engine you have lying around bunch of old servos you dont want etc. This is because the components on their own arent worth much but for some reason people will pay more for a complete package.

Heliaddict gives you the opportunity to learn from others mistakes. Stuff is generally cheap for a very good reason, Not saying there arent bargains out there but the signal to noise ratio really isnt in your favour

i have sold on my helis in the past but the are always local guys that know the heli, know whats wrong, know what needs doing and the price reflects that.

of course you could <cheap plug> buy a brand new Evo 50 that's been built only, never flown (in fact never even had a motor or radio gear fitted into it), comes with a JR 3810 PCM radio and a brand new 401 gyro for £250. It also has some cheap servos with it and what I'd describe as a bit of a knackered engine....but personally I think the first three items are easily worth £250 on their own. I built it for a mate and he decided heli's aren't for him. It's now for sale in the classifieds. </cheap plug>
