Hello,
By way of introduction this is my first post, I am completely new to RC helicopters, indeed to any RC model flying, and have bought myself a Blade 400 3D. I hope to
Having read various forums after ordering the Blade, I realised I really needed to buy sim software also, so bought Phoenix as it was mentioned positively so many times. However I have not found any discussion around the setup of the DX6i when used in Phoenix.
The problem I have is that I cannot get my head round why the Blade 400 is set up the way it is in the DX6i. It makes it impossible to fly in Phoenix, and really makes me worry about ever starting the real helicopter up.
Whenever I increase the throttle/collective, the helicopter pitches and rolls wildly forwards and to the left. It makes controlling it literally impossible if the throttle is pushed fully up as there is not enough pitch and roll available on the right hand stick to counteract the adverse effects.
I have noticed that if one of the other models is used in the memory and set to helicopter type, it is MUCH easier to control (I still cannot hover satisfactorally yet, even on this setting).
Can anybody tell me what is going on? I have searched Google but cannot find this anywhere.
Cheers,
Andrew
