    Hi folks,
Thanks for your help so far, The heli is slowley coming together but now its time to buy a simulator !!!!!!!!!!!! I have read some bits on here but am still lost, I guess the choice is between REALFLIGHT G3, PHEONIX, AEROFLY PRO DELUX and REFLEX XTR. All the shops obviously tend to recomend the one they sell, so can anyone tell me which is best and why.
Please help I'm getting dizzy from going round in circles !

I fly with reflex, and all I can say is that its pretty similar to flying a real model - similar enough to enable you to learn to fly a heli anyway!

I've played with phoenix a couple of times, and that seems to be as good, and you can crash into water too which has to be a bonus!

Sounds like your in my boat - very new. Well all of them will help your orientation and Reflex is apparently very good, but without question Phoenix is the one to have buy IMHO. It's only £80 plus a few quid more for an adapter depending on the ypte of TX you have.

To put this perspective I was hovering with all controls in one tank. I just puts lots of stick time in on Phoenix the week before.

I've been looking at opinions on forums for Phoenix for weeks now and everyone who has it likes it. I'm sure someone is going to prove me wrong now.

This was me yesterday on my new Knight 3D (1st flight - second overall)

I originally flew Reflex for over a year and loved it, then on a whim purchased Phoenix as I liked the price and fancied a change. Reflex has since been sold and I fly Phoenix every night, enjoy it that much.

Phoenix for it's price is a bargain, support is second to none, currently there are regular updates, with new scenery and heli's coming out regularly.

I chose phoenix 1st time around and i would deff choose it again if i was still in the market for a simulator
I honestly think its as close to the real thing as your gonna get using a computer and a flat screen and the phoenix team seem to be bending over backwards to improve things all the time
And for 80 quid its gonna save you 100s in crashes

I started with Aerofly Pro, which was pretty crap but got me going.
I then bought Reflex which was the best at the time.
I now use Phoenix which is currently best sim out there.
                Cheers,

If you use a JR or Spektrum radio, the Phoenix comes with the lead supplied which was a bonus to me,it plugs into the DSC on the DX7 TX and a USB port on the PC.

Phoenix blows the competition away in my opinion,i have owned or used Aerofly Pro,realflight and Reflex XTR

The updates Phoenix keep knocking out are also well appreciated

                      im buying phoenix asap

i have g2 but it is a load of poop

(because its to easy to fly the models and its so unrealistic it also has a poor selection of models to choose from)

there are but they are rubbish for learning to fly helis. very poor graphics and physics.

a good sim is an investment, if you move on to bigger and better helis it will easily pay for itself in the first few months.

A simulator will pay for itself many times over in not having the crashes you would have without one

My first sim was the early CSM sim, I bought Reflex XTR when that appeared and have since bought Phoenix. Phoenix is better than Reflex, cheaper and the company are listening to customer requests and acting pretty quickly on them too. I had one of the early ones whose leads had problems with JR 2610's, I emailed to say my lead was blown, they told me to send it back and they would refund the postage, this was between christmas and the new year and the replacement was with me in short order with 2 pound coins in the bag! First time I've ever actually had postage refunded, top service!
