Simon, I am, though not renewed yet, a member of Alton, our site is just past Ropley on the A31 - we can fly all day every day apart from Sunday afternoons.

The Deepcut site is a clearing in the woods which has been going a long time.

You should get someone to add their details to the club locator, then you'd be able to get (approximate) driving directions right to it

going back to clubs, would it be possible for me to join a club (pirbright) untill i get in to farnham club. i feel that the club might not like me joining for just 1 year will i be expected to stay for longer?

There's a chap about to join our club who is emigraring in April-ish...

I know what you're saying, but my point (that i'm trying to make ) is going from club to club really isn't a problem.
What you might find is that you don't want to leave the first one because the people there are cool, etc.
Nobody would be offended by you going to another club - especially if it's closer to you, it's the logical choice
And if someone is offended by that... they can do one

No club is going to mind, it's a bit more money to fund the patch and another flyer to keep the numbers up, even if only for a few months.

The one with the problem will be you as you'll end up making friends and end up wanting to remain a member, then you'll be a member of two, or three then if you're not careful you'll end up like Trev and find yourself regularly visiting every club in the south

Yeah thay all are down there, I nearly joined but it was too far to go regularly.
