gone with the ever trusty Raptor 30 V2 with Sanwa RD6000 TX, bundled up with a starter, fuel line and pump for just over £300. Costing just over £80 more than i was looking to spend on an electric one, at least this way i wont get fed up with changing batteries all the time
many thanks for all the feedback especially chippy, i was watching that site too but trying to keep up with flea bay and all the other sites is a night mare

FF6 will do the job fine, but is a little limited on bells and whistles.
The early sets only have 3 model memories if i remember right.
If its an anniversary edition one then that goes up to 6 i think...
Probably the most basic heli radio from Futaba.

The FF6 will get you started - the latest revision of it seems ok.
The FF7 is possibly the best value you can get on a 7 channel Tx - inwood models sell it for £99.
I started on the 50th special edition FF6, which was ok to begin with, but I soon out grew it and moved on to the FF7.
I still use it today as it does everything I need currently!
