Problem comes when you crash it, which you will. It is hard to find the parts for older heli's. I know because I've got a nexus which followed on from the concept 30.
the parts are also expensive if you can find them.
The other problem is finding someone with the knowledge to set it up properly.
choose something modern and what people fly now and there will be someone at the club who can help with any problem rather than guess

I used to have two them. They were brought out to replace the Space Baron which was too expensive to produce (Had two of them too!). The Baron 30 was bigger than the Space and flew pretty well despite being rather overweight. All the standard aerobatics and a bit of 3D were no problem. The problem with them now is that Kalt have been defunked for some time and, as has been said, there are no spares available. With this in mind, I think £300 is probably too much for one, unless it's got some kick ass radio in it, because one bump and it's probably all over. You could buy one cheap and then transfer the radio and engine etc into something like a new Raptor when you have a bump, but you'd have to allow for the extra cost involved. Maybe if it were under £200, you could end up with a new 30size with second hand radio, engine and starter gear for about £400 total, and this might be worthwhile.

I wouldn't buy it - the Tx looks ancient - the heli is ancient and, as mentioned, none or very few spares around for it anymore.
Your money would be better spent elsewhere I think.

I agree with this summation too.

I had a baron 30, and was quite happy to swap it complete except for the Tx for a Trex450.

It flew fine, but I knew if i hit the deck once it was all over 'cos you just cannot get spares - including the main shaft for love nor money.

For £300 you can probably pick up a decent raptor 30 anyway!

I can't say I'd recomend it to a beginner. Leave it to someone who wants it for spares or antique value.
Something like these might be a better bet:

it's quite old, but you can still get spares if you bump it.

I have a Baron30, and I enjoy flying it, but the hard truth is spares are almost impossible to get, I have managed to find a few, and probably have enough for most of a second airframe, but I bought a Raptor 30 because I knew if I crashed it, that would be the end, Why did I buy it, it came at the right time, from a guy a work, and I was bitten by the bug,
