Got to admit I am tempted. I want a TREX 600 for summertime too - so having a 450 and a 600 would be quite cool

Question is - do i go for one of the older 450XL CDE's that are on offer, or pay more for a newer 450s CDE?

I'm new here, last heli I had was a Schluter Scout about seventeen years ago.A friend leant me a Twister CP at Christmas and yesterday I managed to hover a few batteries out, mainly tail in,the main problem is the slightest breeze seems to upset it.

Anyway,I've just built a Dragonus Elite.I found the fit, finish and quality of the parts first class,I'm just waiting for a DX7 to arrive to finish it.I've yet to see a bad report about the Dragonus.I didn't want anything as big as what I used to fly and the Dragonus seemed to fit the bill. After the Twister I'm gagging to get this Dragonus in the air.

I live in Newark and I'll be looking to find an indoor venue or club to fly with.My main hobby is racing 1/5 nitro bikes as in the link below, the heli flying will be good fun between race meetings and bike maintenance.

When you get the DX7 set the radio:

[SWASH TYPE] 3 SERVOS 120 DEGREES (done in model select bit).

        Reverse channel 2 (aileron).

        [SWASH MIX]
        AILE - 60%
        ELEV + 60%
        PIT. + 60%

I use the gear switch to switch between HH and rate mode on the 401 gyro.
Setup the servos as per the JR bit in the manual.

If you want any more setup stuff, like throttle and pitch curves, let me know.

          Thanks for the reply Chiz,

I'll probably be asking a lot more questions when I actually get the radio set.
At the moment I've got the head set up for beginners, that is..A1-B1-C1.The gyro is only a Telebee, but it'll have to do in my early stages.

I'll obviously need a supply of blades, preferably wood at this stage. From what I've read the Align blades fit and the price is reasonable.

Just wish the postman would come.
