So Confused

Hi All, I,m just installing the electronics in my raptor 30 and run into a bit of a problem with the gyro/transmitter. The gyro is the 401 and transmitter is the futaba ff9 super CHP. I was following the setup procedure from raptor technique, it all was going fine untill i was programing the trans, the guide says to asigne switch B to control the gyro mode. So i did, in the menu it appears to work fine, but it doesnt change gyro mode. It wasnt untill i knocked switch F buy mistake i noticed it change gyro mode? I have played about asigning the gyro to other swiches but it makes no difference only swicth F will control it? The transmitter and gyro are all brand new and this is the frist time ive tryed changing any of the settings. I would really apreciate any sugestions Thanks

i have same tranny,,,,,,and use 601 and 611...F switch is right...

i would follow your raptor manual,,when set up,,

and use you t9cp manaul...for refferance


f = gyro
c=revloc..
e=idle ups
h=kill engine
g=throttal hold

a/b/d switches are daul rates..
if you look in the tranny manual,,,for the piccy of you resiever,,and what plugs where,,,youll see,,,,you can swop f and c switches around...but thats up 2 you,

Oh ok then, im quite happy with it there, but any idea why the tranny didnt let me change it?

you have got the tranny in heli mode...?

Id just leave it on switch F, its a far easier switch to get to when you dont know your full way round the TX yet. Anyways if you do want to change it in the future then heres how... If you go into the AUX-CH menu (which is in the basic menu mode) and go down to channel 5 then change that to the switch you'd like to assign the gyro too (switch B you said). Next go into the advanced menu mode (by pressing the mode/page buttom whilst in basic menu mode) and go into the GYRO SENS menu. Change the SW function down the bottom to the desired switch (B). You can also change the MIX fuction to ACT if it still doesnt work.

Think i will leave it on F, i presume i have it on heli mode, i havent selected anything other than what its factory set at. think i will go have a look! Didnt know about the active bit, i should really read the manaul, its just a bit daunting trying to get your head round it all when your a newbie!

If you werent in heli mode you wouldnt have a gyro setting in there
you should see a little heli on your standard screen

I had changed the switch setting in the gyro setup but not in the aux channel part. She makes me work in my cold garage outside, wont have any of my 'toys' cluttering up the house. Thanks again for the help was having a major blonde moment.

lol no probs im still trying to suss some of the menus on this TX myself.
