I'm a new member Andy, I have only been flying since April & i tell you what, if it hadn't been for the so called "interesting" members i would not be flying at the level i am at now. Most helpful bunch of guys i have ever met!

andy, there is a couple of 450's in the club already so feel free to bring it for a flight.

Just like to add as a visitor to Waterfoot I've always been made very welcome..I even had a Lorn Sausage roll thrust in to my hand when I visited this Sunday (30th Dec 07 just in case no one reads this post for another year..LOL)

BTW It's always a bit awkward for both parties when they meet for the first time, having been on a club committee and chairman myself for a no of years it can be a bit awkward for both parties at first. The Waterfoot guys though will make you very welcome and have a good setup and the all the knowledge needed to help you on your way..

Before going to a new club I find it best to have a point of contact that you can meet up with so they can introduce you to the lads etc..

i forgot about this thread. i forgot what andy had heard about waterfoot and he was a bit dubious about joining. i'm sure glad andy came and seen for himself and is now a regular and paid up member.......top stuff.
