    Thanks Made,

Overnight charge is fine with me, just want to be able to charge firstly to be honest.

I've got a bit of stick time some comfortable doing forward flight etc, thats why the itch is there to get the real thing out now

And no, I butched the charger jack to fit to the rx pack. Just two small pins to fit in

    Will charge it tomorrow. Thanks
    Cheers

    Jim

if you take the battery out of the tx it has the same connector as an rx pack.

just charge it as a 9.6v nicad at 0.7amps

        Hi Cossie

        Just found this thread.

Just to reassure you, I charge my FF7 using a Prodigy charger and an old PC ATX power supply.

I simply cut the end of the supplied Futaba charger that came with the TX and put 2 4mm banana plugs on the end.

The Futaba has a diode I believe which stops incorrect polarity but the Prodigy will tell you if the battery is the wrong way round.

I usually charge my TX at 300 mAH so a charge will normally take about 2 1/2 hours.

Don't get too fed up. Been there with the baby and Heli thing. It does all get better, honest.

        Cheers

        Mark

          Thanks Mark, and others.

Guess I went into it all a little blind.

For now I've taken it upon myself to order from Skyline a standard slow charger for the Futaba until I can get all the bits done that I need to do some proper charging. I've also had to order a new battery too as I killed the other one lastnight

          Doh.

I'm not giving up on this as I love it too much, but you're right. With a new baby a stressed missus and lots of money being spent, it all gets a bit much

Still hoping to fly for Xmas.

Dont give up then, ive also been there with the baby thing and Mark is right it does get better. This hobby is frustrating but fascinating at the same time. I have many other hobbies but none of them have really taught me as many things as i have learned about what goes into flying an RC helicopter. Before you know it you'll have a fleet of helis and will be itching to fly them when ever you have spare time. I dont think theres a day goes buy nowadays where i think to myself... 'wish i could go for a little fly'. For me if its not the bloody weather playing up then its parenting duties or the missus nagging. Keep hammering the phoenix sim mate, hey teach the bairn to fly it.

                Ouch. Nasty.

My little girl is only 2 and a half weeks old so I'll be ok for a while.

Again just wanted to thank everyone that took the time out to answer this thread and try and help me out. All is pretty good now and I can enjoy my Xmas toys again

Also gonna pop a little thank you to both Skyline and Revolution for helping me out with super quick dispatch and general advice. Both were fantastic and get a big thanks from me.

Thomas one day soon I'll be flying your old bird so stay tuned for a update. Can't wait.
