  • Does this mean....?

Been up since the early hours, run three batteries through the Skylift and now managing to get it hovering half decently at knee height, avoided all the furniture in the lounge and nearly ventured out into the kitchen(alright, that was by accident...but it looked good!)not a mark on it and only had one panic moment.

I've even downloaded a Chinook fly past and landing sound effect to play whilst I fly it...

    Does this mean...I'm hooked?

    Help me someone...please!!!

Well before you go off buying any sort of single rotor heli, I would strongly recommend you get a copy of the Phoenix rc simulator first.
Flying single rotor helis is a good deal harder than coaxial helis. Phoenix is a great tool for learning on, plus it huge fun as well

sorry to say your a well and truely fooked mate

welcome to the world of big spending, a girlfriend that will never understand and lots of time standing in a feild lol

bad move on a trex250 tho mate, they are rather fast, rephase that, they are stupidly fast, get a sim, pheonix as everyone else said, and maybe a eflite blade400, as it comes with a decent tx that works with the sim!!!!

              welcome to the obsession

If I stuck one of those in my local river (river severn) I would not see it! So can you only use them in the bath, as my local swimming pool would not be too happy about me using one of those!

I use my subs anywhere and everywhere)as long as it's freshwater it's ok.
The biggest sub I've had was 108" long, the smallest is my little 15" Deep Quest, a deep sea research sub..it's got flashing beacons and hi-viz external floodlights, so you can see it for a couple of feet down. Anyway, the object of sailing an r/c sub is run continiously at periscope depth...if you can run a sub with no more than an inch of periscope out of the water, then you've cracked it.

Bit like hovering a heli really, I guess.... :-)

I'll not be buying another heli yet, I want to master the Chinook first. Just had another battery through it, my hovers that time were abyssmal, so now the battery is on charge and I'm sulking at the keyboard...

It took me long enough last time I flew helis to get the thing into the air, so this time around I'm not buying anything else until me and my Chinook are best friends....no, I'm NOT buying another heli. I'm resisting...

Great stuff Rich, keep it up mate, just one word of caution make sure the motors have cooled on the Chinook before flying again, it will shorten their life if you allow them to get too hot.

It's the best fun I've had since the good woman went back to Canada(mind you, I'll probably change my mind over that statement when she returns....)

I do let the motors cool between runs, I only have the one battery pack at the moment, so there's ample time for them to cool down whilst the battery pack is charging. Thanks for the info...

                          And finally for Mart61...
