    This thread is great

Thank you Rich for reminding me (after a bit of a disappointing afternoon at the field) what this hobby is really about. I am sitting here typing this with a big smile on my face because of you

    Thanks

PS... There is no hope mate - you are addicted and there is no escape
    Cheers, Lee.

You are one of the few Lee, who I've managed to leave with a smile on their face. There was this girl once, though...she no, it's best to say no more!

I'm a reborn heli pilot mate, it's early days yet. You wait until I've wacked the Chinook in the ground a few times...I'll be such a miserable old fart, nobody will talk to me then!

Welcome to the (expensive) hobby, and good luck. Another vote on not jumping on the 250 right away though, they are seriously lively little buggers.

That's why I like my Chinook, it's so stable and virtually flies itself, whereas the Dauphin is very skittery. I had a play with the Dauphin earlier, ran a battery through it but I can't get on with it, so it's back on the shelf for the time being, I'm going to make me a set of training legs for it, see if that's any help.

Aye, the training legs are good to start with, just a safety net really, if you need to drop it down and its not quite flat.

Believe it or not, Rich, I've got a set of training gear for a Dauphin in my loft somewhere, together with a load of other stuff. If you want the TG, PM me your address. (FOC, of course. )
