This thread is almost making me give up G3 for Pheonix.

The main reason for G3 was the supplied controller as being a newb I didn't have anything.

I've now ordered a Futaba FF7 and may consider selling G3 to get it after all the rave reviews, but what is really swaying me is the support and genuine support from the manufacturers to keep improving and updating, without trying to charge all the time.

Well the whole family has had a go on pheonix. charlotte 5 emily 10 mandy 39 nigel 40.
charlotte picked it up ok had a bit of trouble with the size of the controller
emily thinks the best fun is to crashing from a great hight but has managed to fly around quite well
mandy well what can I say just like me six months ago all over the place
nigel(me) coming along quite nicely thank you.Trying all kinds of moves I would't of tryed with my trex for ages.

Mandy did make one comment though " first I was a computer widow then a trex widow now both together.

Been talking to Ade about Pheonix and think I'm gonna do it. Gotta sell what I have first as the missus can't get her head around me paying what I did for it, only to sell it again two months later

Just waiting on my new TX first before I make the plunge. Oh and one of the main swaying factors apart from better physics, which lets face it, is what they're all about. I'm very happy that they'll be including online play as this can be a very social hobby even if your stuck indoors with the crap weather.

Cossie, I did the same as you. I bought G3 because I didnt have a Tx initally. I then sold G3 in favour of Phoenix after two months and was £30 better off for doing it. Phoenix is much better than G3. Go get yourself Phoenix you wont be disappointed!

Have to agree though I think I'm gonna do it. Just hope my TX turns up today as taken a few days already <sigh>

Have been watching all the posts on Phoenix, and have decided to sell XTR along with a Futaba Skysport 6 and lead, will hopefully get enough to cover the cost of the new software and will be ordering it shortly, I will put XTR on classifieds and E-Bay, but if anyone wants it, £80.00 delivered to your door is what I am looking for,
