sorry mate i have to dissagree to the novice being treated differently, whats the point in ripping off newbies?? if they ripped off newbies they wouldn't get much business would they? i mean everyone starts as a newbie, i know matt fairly well and he has never treated me any different and both he and trev come accross as down to earth guys who wouldn't mind giving a little help to us inexperianced guys, i am sure that if you were to phone the shop first rather than ranting on here trev would do his upmost to resolve your problem.

maybe i was taken advantage of, because i mentioned the word novice, like to think i wasn't, but it aint looking good.

I have spoke to matt on the phone today, and the problem has been quickly resolved. Replacement tail blades will be sent and i will sent the originals back to midlands.
Maybe i was a bit hasty in posting on here before speaking to Matt, i did ring on Mon a few times but couldn't get through (3d champs going on I know).

So thanks to midlands and especially Matt for sorting out this problem for me, especially so quickly, may have been a trivial problem for some, think I had a right to complain, but again possibly in the wrong manner.

      Thanks again Matt

      cheers

Well it could be worst. I ordered parts for my MSR from Wonderland Models last wednesday, were suppose to be dispatched Friday and I still don't have them.

An order I placed with another company for parts for my B400 on Sunday night I've recieved already.

I have to say, I have had both superb service from both Fast Lad & Midland, if Midland could arrange their website a little better and advise when the items are in, I guess they would be on par. I remember going into Midland with a problem with my futuba/phoenix lead, Trevor was straight onto Phoenix and Futuba and it was sorted in the 10 minutes is was there. The fault was the plug, the male connector pins were too long and both Futuba and Phoenix have trevor the run around, but trevor wasn't accepting it and managed to get it sorted and within a week a new plug lead arrived. Now how many places would that level of service be offered, I remember spending £2500 on a stereo system and once it was sold the shop couldn't give a damm about the Denon receiver I had, in fact i went through 3 until I changed it paying extra for the NAD, not even an apology, the service was appauling. I guess we sometimes have too high expectations and expect everything to be perfect all the time. Like I said, my only critism is Midlands on-line system, could do with an upgrade maybe???

I also have had my own fight with midlands. Ordered a Blade 400 few months ago, and the battery was dead. I sent an email to midlands and they requested to sent the broken battery back. This was about two months ago and I haven't been able to reach them with email since. Once called them, and new battery was promised to me.. This was about a month ago.

I have already gave up the hope, that I would received a new battery..

I was more surprised and disappointed than angry. I have heard good things about midlands but my own experience wasn't that good.
I have to take this back!

I was contacted by Midlands and it came out that it was actually E-Flite who wasn't able to deliver. So we got to and agreement and it's all sorted out now.

            Happy hovering!

Sooner they get it the better. It is the reason I use FS or my LHS.

I don't want to mess about ringing up. I want to do my shopping on the web-site and have the parts I ordered despatehcd within hours.

A live site is a pre-requisite as far as I'm concerned.

I also found if you get the part number and ring you tend to get the stuff faster as well as they find it and have it in there hand so you tend to get it posted right away .... works for me ... but then again i dont mind using a phone

Well I would like to give a big thumbs up to Heliguy, I ordered a rx lipo batt for my align 2in1 and they sent me a 11.1v 1900 when I had ordered a 7.4v 1900 lipo. A quick email to Paddy and my foc rx lipo arrived the next day via special delivey and Paddy said it was his fault he picked the wrong one and it was there job to fix it.

Very happy here and will use them again.

Ditto. When you go on a website and add something to your basket the impression is that they have it and you will get it. When the Royal Mail messes up..who can blame the shop for that? We blame the mail

You'll never get next day delivery unless it's dispatched via courier in the morning and then it's unlikely for a hobby shop to do that.

I use Sussex Helicopters in Forest Row, East Sussex and the service there has been really good. Dennis if not busy, will usually if ordered in the morning get it dispatched for the evening post so you'll recieve it the following day. So far with about ten orders this has been the case apart from this week where it was three days but that I'm sure is down to the post. I'm making my second journey down there this weekend to collect some bits (new servos) for my Blade400. The last time he stayed open for me past close as I was travelling from Hampshire. You can't beat that service. They also offered me a cup of tea and use of their toilets
