Hello all, hope all had a good weekend at 3d champs, like me if you didnt go, we did our own 3d hovering

I ordered some 85mm tail blades from midlands other week for my rappy 30, carbons jobbies, sab, only the graphite looking ones, couldn't justify more expensive ones, £12ish they were. Anyway as more often than not someone from midlands gave me a ring the following day saying they didn't have them in, which it didn't state on the website. Ordered stuff before and they nearly always are out of stock. So I got persuaded into purchasing a set for 15.99 which for me a begginner I thought is alot of dosh for tail blades, just so they look shiny next to my carbon main blades.

Thought I was going to get bbt ones sent, or he mentioned robbe? rotortech? duno was a bit bemused by the different sizes, 85mm is around the right size for raptor 30. Just thought any of the three sounded good. I also took the time to explain I was a novice, and unsure of sizes, maybe this was a bad idea

Received the blades last week, they are nothing what I expected, some german writing on the sticky label on the front, no brand name to be seen, and the bag was only "sealed" by a label, now that didn't ring true either, why was it open at one end and only sealed with a label? never had that before.

Took the blades out, and basically they look like they have been booted across the wherehouse floor, had knicks in them, scrached, and look used, you can see the semi circle where the blade has been in blade grips!!. Now they are in bubble wrap on posting, so this couldn't happen in transit, not to that extent.

Not a happy bunney, not for the first time midlands have excelled in being unreliable for me. They are getting a phone call and i want my money back. They are also going to know that my dad is alot bigger than there dads nah na na nah na

anyone else had dealings?

I been using Midlands since I started in the hobby and TBH cant fault em .. always recieved good advice and service from the midland team..Should have rung em first though instead of posting on a forum ...

maybe should have rang them, but not happy, cant really understand what they have sent me, if I have ordered things from there they usually are not in stock, its not an up to date listing, unlike fast lads which 9 times out of 10 is.

maybe i was taken advantage of, because i mentioned the word novice, like to think i wasn't, but it aint looking good.

Simon .. Am sure you aint been taking advantage of as Matt and Trev are good guys .... We are spoilt with FL's website that is all .. I always ring em in the day just to make sure they got the stuff in I ordered and make sure I got alternatives if they not get them ...

FL stock is linked through to the website - it is part of the reason why it does so well - if it's green you know your going to get it.

I also have had my own fight with midlands. Ordered a Blade 400 few months ago, and the battery was dead. I sent an email to midlands and they requested to sent the broken battery back. This was about two months ago and I haven't been able to reach them with email since. Once called them, and new battery was promised to me.. This was about a month ago.

I have already gave up the hope, that I would received a new battery..

I was more surprised and disappointed than angry. I have heard good things about midlands but my own experience wasn't that good.

Whatever you should not get obviously 2nd hand items when you have purchased new. I am sure they will sort out the mess though as I have always had good service from them, its very easy to damage a good reputation but damned hard to earn one/maintain one and even more so to regain one...

I have been buying my spares from both Midland Heli, Hobby Hanger, FL - all offer excellent service. I also think you need to give Midland Heli a ring, repeat to them what you have written here without even mentioning RCHA and I will be surprised if you do not get a repalcement part at FOC.

Have to say I have never had a bad moment with Midland, always found their service to be pretty good.
If you're into your 3d hovering, why not have a look dow to Dishforth back end of October? There is a BMFA fly in going on, around the 24th, I will be there, would be good to see some other heli flyers!!! Have a look on the website for details.

that's how the BBT blades come. in bubble rap bag with a label on and there can quite often be doggy sets, main blades as well they seem to be a bit hit and miss on quality but they are a good price for what they are.
But just speak to Mat or Trev and they will resolve your issues.
I use Midlands for a fair bit and Realraptors never had any problems with either but i have the pleasure of just popping over the shop when i need stuff.

Personally I think it is a bit out of order to posta slating before giving anyone the chance to rectify......I have had dealings with Midlands since 98 never had a problem.....Bought a zimmy exhaust for a concept years ago and when I recieved it it had a dent in it.....not their fault....So a quick phone call and popped the part back in the post and they sent me a new one straight out which they checked before sending.....Sometimes they are out of stock so I tend to ring and check stock first. I also use Skyline and FL all have been good but I always ring my order through.

Did get a call though from Trevor on the first order but not the second when I rang up to ask then was told about the no stock.
I imagine its not an easy set up to do live stock like rchelispares and fast ladfs but at the end of the day when we order its normally out of nescessity so we expect them tomorrow.

But in fairness I dont use them to much and other than these 2 orders everything else been spot on.

If your selling online you should display stock levels. If you have to ring before order why bother with online bit just ring.

Once i had one joker ring me up lost your CC details after waiting few weeks for parts to come in. When they got here he had added more money onto bill!! But online price had not been updated!!! Not go there again...ever. Company...winged horse (can't think how to spell it)
