First off...Hello everyone
I hope it's gonna be fun and educational here
When I say total newbie I mean Total Newbie.
I got my first RC Helicopter just over a week ago and I'm hooked.
I had a couple of those micro copters for xmas and had some fun with them until they died horribly (dead internal battery and total loss of control so returned to the shop in disgrace) I got myself an Easycopter V6 as it seemed a good way to get some experience and learn some basics. Naturally I've had the expected bad landings and crashes into furniture and walls resulting in broken ball rods and mashed rotors but hey... all experience.
I'm lucky that I work in a large workshop so I can play, err practice when it's empty. I'm getting the hang of hovering and moving around in various directions and can also land on top of a fridge sized box so I think I'm doing ok.
There's a couple of things that I'd like to know about Lipo batteries though and I thought this could be the place to find out.
It takes 2 hours to charge using the standard charger. Is there a charger out there that will do it quicker without damaging them? They are 3.7v/1000mah/10C...whatever that means???
Secondly, will I damage them if I only part charge them instead of fully charging them? Say, if I've got one on charge and I need to take it off to go somewhere for instance.
Many thanks in advance
