the vario mechanics fly very well, the quality is great
and the spares service from vario uk is also first class
cost of kits/spares is higher than some
and theres no buy one get one free on the spares like align

and if you are going scale then the vario mechanic are spot on for this application
but they can also sport/3d fly

but i would go with the kyosho to see how you get on with heli flying (but remember spare may be a problem)

whatever you buy be safe and enjoy this wonderful hobby

Yeah i hear that rumour also.
And hear that Thunder tiger are pulling the plug on there leccy 620 and other leccy range.

I've been reading up about conversion for T700 and quite a few people go on about this 1. Suzi-Hans T-rex 700 conversion

Not sure what im going to do. But if i hold off and save up more cash i can then afford to go for Trex own 700esp if when it comes out.

Will see what happens im not rushing into it i'll use some self control..... lol.

      Thanks for link again

I used the kit from fastlads and it's fine if you want to save a few pound but my main reason was replacement frames would be easier to replace.

As for that kit in your post yes it a very lite but theirs alot of work to get the frames together properly.

If you really want a good 700E kit and willing to pay out I'd look at this one

      www.heli-chris.de

Or KDE Direct have one to be released very soon

      http://www.kdedirect.com/700SeriesProducts.html

And yes have some control buy two so you'll have a back up

P,s If you do ring Fastlads ask for Andy

Pretty sure he said 350 unless that incl motor.....

With regards to 6s battery it was recommended to uprate to 8s

Im curious maybe you can answer this 1 paul.... What pay load will the Trex take with regards batteries someone mentioned running a 22.2v 5000mah and then double it run parrellel excuse spelling it's late im knackered and i've missed place my spec's.
No doubt my cats nicked them again....

What would be the ideal setup on Trex with regards to esc, motor, Servos and gyro???

I'll be honest when andy said that i was like how much is complete 600esp????? LOL

              Hi Adam

A 700E will have to run on 12S
8S would be ok for a 600, but 12S is the way to go even for a 600

I use two 5000mah 22.2 volt packs on my 700 at a time flight times are timed to 10 mins and put about 3000 ish back in each pack.

This is my set up on my 700

              T-REX 700 E Pro
              3 X Align DS610 Digital Servo
              Pentium-100A-HV ESC running 12S
              Scorpion Motors : HK 4035 - 500
              Spartan DS760 Gyro + Futaba BLS251

Doesn't that need you to have a Transmitter though ? (asking as may be a step for me)

Yeah, Phoenix does not come with a tx. I use a Spektrum DX7 and it plugs right in.

I originally used RealFlight G3.5 which has it's own dedicated controller but found Phoenix better for heli physics.

                    Ok guys quick question-paul.

                    Paul mate.

With regards to the lipo batteries do you have per chance know the dimensions of them. L,W,D

Just trying to work out a deal through a company in aberdeen who has contacts in hong kong so might manage to get batts from him cheap enough.
That why i need size's i might manage to get a deal from him for servos as well.
                    My 35mhz module arrived today.
FP-TP-FM rf module Digital r/c system. Kind of hope ing it's the correct 1 for the FF9c...... as it was no where near the amount of a module from my model shop and yeah it's brand new.....maybe old stock but new.

Also guys has anyone on here used Actro elec motors??? any idea to quality and ability of them???

With regards to esc is it worth considering a castle????

                    thanks again all

                    adam

                      Hi Adam
Yes here’s the pack size for the 6S 5000mAh from Hobbyking
                      Pack Size: 148 x 49 x 49mm
I’ve also have thought of Castle Creations Phoenix 110 HV Brushless ESC for my 700 as I’d like to go HV on my 600.
If you can hold out for a 700 E, Align will be shown what their 700E will looking like etc in 4 to 6 weeks time.

                        Thanks for that Paul.

With regards to 700 elec KDE conversion i've emailed asking when they will be releasing the kit.

I also asked if they would do a combined package of all upgrades the produce for 700N/E.

Response from Patrick the owner: Release very soon of the kit labour day. Prices TBA. Patrick went onto suggest where to purchase Mod 1 gearing and a few other bits and pieces incl motor and esc. He also added me to mailing list for new product launch and will confirm price at later date.

I also found a parts supplier in uk for Nexus 30 and the concept models
                        www.robsrchelispares.co.uk

Again thanks for checking battery size's paul.

                        best regards

Sorry forgot to put links up that Patrick suggested.

                          Welcome to FAD

                          MicroHeli.com

Hope this helps anyone else thinking about T700E conversion.

Think i'll hold off until end of october before purchasing any heli kit.
That way it gives align time to launch the 700E
It also gives Avant Aurora E time to come out...

Thanks for info on the 700 align paul.
