I've done loads of indoor hovering with GAUI 100s, 200s (inc a 3 blade with no stabilisation), & a BuzzFly, all w/o TG for ages, so some stuff is pretty sussed.
What I realised (about 10 minutes after that video - crunch...) was that some stuff I'm clueless at. I'm still much worse hovering nose-right (3 O'clock) than the other orientations (esp with wind), and between 3 O'c & 6 O'c I'm crap. I also lose orientation quite easilly. Part of this is down to being used to flying tiny helis up close and low down.
When something is 20' away and 10' up, those fluoro balls on the TG give a good visual cue, helping me stay relaxed.
So for now, I'm banging away at the orientations, and getting the co-ordination sussed.
I also really must get those canopies on...
