Hi all, Took the Skyfox to the field today straight after work No one else there just me the sun and no clouds or wind. Hovered and flew tail in, practised landings through one tank. All was OK.
On the start of the second tank the landings were still good, I thought what the hell and took off the training gear for the first time.
Its Bloody scarey
at 34yrs old theres not much that reduces me to quivering wreck but that did. It seemed so much more liable to tip over, it didnt and wouldnt of but seemed like it could at any minute. I took off and it all seemed wrong no rods and balls hanging underneath to save me.
The first landing was a little nervous and the second and third were a bit shakey but after it was ok, gave myself a headache with all that concentration but it was worth it. the most important thing that occured to me was that I dont have to land, if its too wobbly just go back up and start again. I realised that after about 5 or 6 landings it was almost done second nature. The thing I have to make sure I do is come off the throtle enough, I had a couple where I didnt and after it was down it was still a bit light.
Even seemed worrying flying at height with no training gear, dont know why as it has no benefit, but still.
so anyway a good evenings flying.
