    hi
i have pretty much learnt how to fly the twister bell 47 now so i need to start saving for the next heli. Heli's that i am considering
    1. twister 3d
    2. t-rex 450
    3. century swift

which heli would you advise for a 2nd heli are there any others that i have not metioned that you would advise. i like the idea of getting the twister 3d simply because it is rtf, i'm not to good with all the techy stuff so would have to pay some1 to set it up for me
    thanks

Hi Tom i brought the twister 3d and to be honest its not the best thing to learn on since then i brought a couple of 30 size ic heli`s and they are miles better to learn on
if i had to go electric id choose the trex 600

      Hi Tom,
I agree with Gaza07 the 30/50 size nitro would be the best way to go but you would need to belong to a club otherwise T-Rex 600 or Swift.

Hi Tom id deff goto your nearest club which ever option you go for dont try to do it alone the feel of a proper cp heli compared to your little twister bell is gonna be a lot diffrent you will need some help and probably enjoy the atmosphere to
if your gonna buy new and go for ic the knight 50 sport is a good price and a lot recommend it on here
you would be skipping the 30 size stuff and saving money in the long run

the big electric heli`s are realy nice but the battery packs are so expensive and dont last to long b4 you need new ones

ooops almost forgot a good flight sim is realy helpfull to if you dont already have one
the phoenix flight sim would seem to be the best choice for price and feel (so i hear very often)

Up to a 30 or 50 nitro in my opinion,it depends what you wish to do with it..

Be warned though, the Twister Bell 47 is easy to fly,a friend of mine can fly his around OK but he cant hover a Raptor 50,maybe he is just panicking but he does not get on with it..

My recommendations are Raptors,Knights,or Sceadu Evos

None of these are toys though so progress through the proper channels,ie clubs and experienced helpers

forget small electrics, they are expensive and fly like S**T

Buy yourself a knight 50 sport. very cheap and great fun and one of the best flying too.

a nitro will cost you a little more to start with and you will have to go to the local club field to fly it but then i dont like to see any CP heli being flown in a park they have the ability to do lots of damage to people and property.

            but...

the 30-50 size stuff flies so much better.

is a raptor 30 (and a local club) the way to go then?
i have already visited my local club and they have indoor flying sessions so i wanted something with more power to fly indoors but also outside?
i really dont no what i want now

T-Rex is smaller, parts are nearly always available, batteries are around £40/50 4s
Swift is larger, parts can be a challenge sometimes, batteries are around £100 4s

You will be just allowed to fly the T-Rex indoors but most clubs won't let you even think about hovering the Swift indoors

                      Swift is almost 30 Size

and Trex is small twitcy and won't be very stable

Basics are the Bigger the Helicopter the more stable they are.

So 30 Size is probably the most common followed by the 50 Size
parts wise not a lot in cost wise if you crash and the 50 is more stable.

But by the sounds of it goto your local club see what they fly and go
                      from there.

Hi Thomas it sounds like you realy want to go down the indoor route if you do then price the trex up against the twister 3d
i would think the twister 3d will come out quite a bit cheaper lipo,s for the twister are about £24 quid
ive got a twister 3d and it is quite hard to fly and i got this b4 my 30 size helis
learning on the twister was hard but it does make the 30 size heli seem easy
your probably gonna have to buy a radio go for the ff7 or ff9 coz they will do you later when you want to go out side
get a training under carriage to coz when you 1st try to hover one of these small leccy helis your gonna wonder what the hell you have brought
they are a lot harder to handle than the twister bell 47
if you do get a small electric heli be carefull dont fly it in any sort of wind they arent very good unlike the larger models

Yea er guilty as charged.. I flew my Twister 3D outside they can handle 8-10mph winds if you can fly if not then don't. It is weaker than a Trex and servo gears will break and tail gear will go as well. 2 weakest points on the model. Hummingbird 3D is a better option but same price almost if not cheaper overall.

T-rex your into 30 Size model prices but it is more stable than the Twister 3D and a LOT stronger.

You need to look at spending around 700 pounds to kit out a 30 Size/Trex Helicopter decently and Rember BUY ONCE and only ONCE. If you settle for 2nd best parts you'll blow money on upgrading things so don't buy the right Gyro/servo combo and tranny from the start etc.

i would say nearly every one in my local club has a t-rex and when i ask them questions they are very single minded and just tell me to buy a t-rex
                            thanks tom
