Just to second what jhurwitz said. I have been looking for some new 2200 LiPo.
I was told that Zippy was a good budget make.

Available over here for around £21 plus post.

Got them at Hobby-King, for £14.10 inc. post. Can't get better than that. Will report further when they arrive.

Hi All

Just to chuck in my tupp'north about 500 size. I have two in the fleet, an Ark 500, sadly underrated little bird, and a 3DX-500.

Both of these fly well on 4s. I was lucky enough to pick up a couple of Flightpower 3700 4s on E-Bay for about £45 the pair.

Looking on Hobby-King, I notice these

$41.19 is £24.43 in real money, hardly breaking the bank. Admitted neither heli will 3D, but then again neither can I.

If you fancy a 500 size, and don't want insane power, don't be put off by battery price.

I even have a venerable ECO 8, flying a treat on two 3s 2200 in parallel. Mind you, it is also flying on a pair of 430mm g/f blades.
How stone age can you get!
