Don't oil it tho. These weren't my pics but has no oil - it just tends to attract grit and grime IMHO.

ok, it is a bit whiney over the normal sounds for the lil heli i read that you can use wd40, will this do for the bearings, i replaced the main and centre shaft and i think the noise is coming from there. love this lil heli, i can hover it just fine, got my head round the reverse controls almost lol, can hover it inches of the floor but still struggle with the sim....

Hey guys, another problem, my left gyro, which controls it sliding left and right, seems to be working intermitanty, i could not get it to move left or right, had a look at the gyro, just pressed it to make sure the cog was secure, and it gave out sighns of life, tried the aileron again but it seems to stick in one direction of the other, flicking of the stick gets it to center. Is the gyro bust or is there something i can do .

As in my earlier post , i had this problem but on the elevator servo , they are like worm gears , check the gear on the end of the aileron servo , they are very fine . On mine i had 2 or 3 gears missing and it dit the same as yours . Worth a try , Rob .

Thanks rob, i looked at that before, thats how come i came to press the cog, but just had a closer inpsection, cant see any teeth missing, but when i turn the cog with my fingers, it feels like there are if that makes any sence, whereas the other moves freely, maybe there is an edge of i cant see lol

I know what you mean mate the gears are so fine its tough to see . What i found was the battery actually touches the gear if you push it in to far , and i think that is what damaged mine . I could see it though so maybe you have a different problem , but i would think it may be something to do with the servo mate . Let us know how you get on and in the meantime i will have a think and look at mine . Rob .

Thanks mate, i have ordered another servo, but when i had finished looking at it and flew it again, the bloody thing worked lol, still think there is a problem with it tho, time to dig out the magnifying glass and low wattage soldering iron for this, the solder points look tiny. Your dead right there mate , gonna need a tiny tip on the iron . I was lucky i ordered a new servo because you can't get just the gear , but i managed to just swap the gear over . Have you already ordered the servo because if your gear is deffinately ok you could have the one i bought . It would save you a tenner . Let me know if you need it . Rob .

Thanks rob, much apreciate all the help you and other posters have given, the servo is on its way, so if anyone reads this with a damaged servo cog just let me know and ill send you the servo. Just another quick question, seen a b400 on that auction site, Its been rebuilt with new carbon blades but not flown since, is it worth investing in or would i be safer getting one from new.

New is always better if you can afford it. Also has it been crashed and rebuilt? Also if they are cheap carbon blades they might not be much better than wood ones
