  • spinning out of control

Hi again I am having some teething problems with my king 2. It had a brushless setup and extream idler with hh gyro. I put the heli on a spinning board to check all was ok. The heli just spings anti clockwise I can counter act this with full oposite pitch and it just stays centered. I have run out of movement on the rotor now. Any ideas the motors running in the right direction boom is straight so I am wondering if the gyro could be the prob. Thanks

Are you in Heading Hold mode and do you have the gyro direction set correctly?

When you are doing this test, are you spooling up to full head speed, or just keeping it on low throttle?

if you could find someone who can test fly the heli, it would make a big difference.
For a beginner, a heli that is setup badly makes it ten times more difficult. Even if everything is fine and only the trims are off, it'll be much harder.

I'm not familiar with the King 2 heli myself but it might be worth checking out some of the build videos on the Helifreak site for the various different helicopters. I found them absolutely invaluable when I first started and they should give you a good understanding of how to set up a heli:

With the Esky helis it's usually because the servo hasn't been moved to the right position on the boom, and/ or the pitch control links are on the wrong side of the blade (they should be on the leading edge, rather than the trailing edge---this gives you a much larger useful pitch range).
