Hi All,
have got some time off of work (cateract removal) so I thought I would bore you with my heli career so far.
Started off with a Twister V2 FP from the lhs. What a disaster! Never really got it to fly & gradually trashed the dining room with it.
Saw sense, re-boxed the Twister & took the advise on this forum. Bought a Blade CX2, Phoenix Sim & Spectrum DX6i.
Graduated to a Walkera 4#3B (will I ever learn?) Lovely little heli, but very tempermental & definately not for a noob like me. Managed to accidently stand on this one & completely wreck it
(damn these crappy eyes).
Back to messing about with the Blade & Phoenix.
A few weeks ago, a Gaui SE100 Pro came up on a well known auction site (new & unused) I couldn't resist.
£51 later & its mine
I bought one of those magnifying/light stand jobbies from maplins & that helped no end during the build.
Fiddly as hell to build but i really enjoyed it. HS45B's on cyclic, Logitec 2100 gyro with Futaba S3154 on tail.
The training gear is from the Twister & cut in half.
Its taken me a few weeks to get the parts together & build it.
Setting it all up was a massive learning curve in itself.
Maidened it this morning with batteries from the CX2.....
'IT FLIES'....I can't believe it, it actually FLIES

Have put 4 batteries through it so far & can hover for 5-10 secs at a time before my lack of skill takes over. It seems pretty stable, though I suspect that the set-up could do with some 'tweaking'.
I know that this is probably 'small beans' to a lot of you guys, but I am so chuffed that I managed to build & set-up this heli (walking round grinning like a t#*t waiting for the batteries to charge) just had to share.
Thanks for reading (Trex 250 next lol).
Paul.
