Hi all. I'm new to this lark, having been given a 2nd hand Venom Night ranger 3D. Actually, when I say I'm new, I'm coming back to this after a bit of a lay off - when I last flew a heli there were no such things as gyros and the Graupner (?) jet ranger was the one to have.
Any how - back to my problem: The heli needed a new rotor head which was no problem, and I have got it all set up. Servos all work ok, however I have no power to the main or tail motors. The moors run fine if they are connected straight to a power source so originally I thought , Ah ha! the esc inthe rx is burnt out, so I replaced the whole rx with with one from a walkera 22E (The same, I believe) but the problem persists. All servos work fine, just no power to the motors!
The venom instructions are pretty useless so I also got hold of the walkeea ones and what has further confused me is that I was led to believe that the rx incorporated the esc, but on the Walkera rx there is a point to connect a separate esc. So am I actually missing the esc.
Confused a dazed now. And I thought a simple electric heli would be a good place to get back into this!
Any thoughts and advice welcome. Cheers
