I agree with unwind-protect, the Esky ESC is really cr....p

I burned the main gear out on my new Belt-CP while it was "tethered" so let me set gyro gain and check rotor tracking. It was really obvious to me that every time I touched the throttle, the thing went totally MANIC.

My solution was to invest 22 quid in a Sonix 30A ESc complete with BEC - it has a really good soft start and therefore you dont get the nose kicking at all as the torque comes in nice and slowly, under YOUR control, not the ESC's.

You can make it slightly less tetchy by moving the throttle trim all the way to the bottom, giving a little more margin for error.

The Esky ESC on the Belt isn't /too/ bad if you're gentle with the start up, as the rotor has a fair bit of resistance. On the King, however, it's frightening!

ok update i am new to this so should the gyro be in norm or reverse? i have had a ply with the gain and its no better.i have taken the throttle up bit more today and the heli just started spinnig anti clock wise

Did you try reversing the gyro, mine spun madly anti clockwise I reversed it and all was fine.
