    hi there,
i am assuming that the heli is fixed pitch if it only has 4 channels,
firstly if the control with the ratchet is on the lhs the tx is mode 2 if not mode 1,the control with the ratchet is up and down(throttle) left and right is the control for the tail rotor to turn the nose left or right,
the other stick is for left and right airleron(cyclic)this makes the heli bank left and right, and up and down makes the helis nose raise or lower,
the trims under and alongside the sticks are for small adjustments to get the heli in trim,
most people in uk fly mode 2,
i cant help you with the buttons because i dont know what tx you have.
i am no expert but i hope this helps
    flying better all the time

          Dragonfly switches

The switches and button have a very special function :- they are there to fill in some holes! and possibly make the TX look more advance than it really is.
They have no wiring attached to them at all.
