is there anyway way to tell which mode i have without flying my heli yet? my left stick at the moment is in the bottom position..

thanks for the very quick replies guys, i was just taking it apart when i thought..hold on, what if its mode 2 already???
one more question, the rotor blades are flailing about loosely (ive only just got it out of the box! heh), am i to tighten the screws to fix them in the correct position?- Walkera 4#3B

Yep, tighten them up. Not too tight so you can't move them though. A good rule of thumb i was told as a newbie was tighten them up. spread them out straight, hold heli by skids and give it a good shake up and down. Blades should move in the grips but not flap about.
this was on a nitro, so if you have something like a 400 or 450 the same principle applies.

this is just a baby 4#3B
so its nothing big. the manual isn't the most helpful in the world... you'll probably be hearing a lot more from me.. cheers guys.

Lol. ignore what i said then... You can use the "User CP" button at the top of the page and add what you have to your signature.
A good read through the forum will give you loads of info on your heli as well as general info on what to expect as you "expand" into the hobby!!
