how do you clean threadlock/loctite off the nuts and bolts?

This tip saved me a lot of hassel - used my gas soldering iron / torch and saved me wrecking the components using brute force. Will keep this tip in mind, I only put a dab on the end of the thread and as it winds in it carries the threadlock with it

With a lighter? Annealing doesn't take place in carbon steels until at least 600 to 700 degrees celsius. Thats the material not the heat source. ahhh bugger! Well, got 99% there and made a little mistake of removing a ball link after a little too much threadlock was applied ........
all this and a postal strike thursday and friday!
What is the best option to remove the offending piece left in the swash?
Also, anyone know of a shop in London that will carry 450 sport parts?
