Well I'm about to pinch a loaf, then I'm out to practice on the square, and get through my batt packs again.

My mate keith is coming down, so I'll ask him to take a few shots of her in action.

Plus the wind is dead still I reckon you could fly a BCX2 out there tonight.

        WHAT A RUSH!!!!!!!!!

when I first attached the bat the 450 was doing all the beeping while I attached the canopy, then when I got her out she was spinning like before.

I stopped, took the canopy off unwired the batt, turned off the TX, then back on, wired the batt, waited for the beeping to stop then placed the canopy and she flew fine, done the same with the second and third batt and everything was fine.

Keith took photos, I'm about to scale them down to post here, I got up to 20ish feet and felt comfortable, took her 30 feet forwards then reversed her back, her rotas sang beautifully.

Had an audience namely everyone in the square was watching at one point or another lol, even my mate said it felt good being there with her flying, shit I felt like Tom Cruise in Top Gun, I was a little bouncy to start with, but after a few minutes I found my feet again and started having enormous fun

          Good on ya mate!!

You must wait for the gyro to finish initialising before putting the canopy on - the heli needs to be still for it to set itself up properly. My cheapy belt CP also likes the trims to be roughly centred. If you follow this procedure it should work each time

              Wayne,

That's brilliant. I also think you might be disturbing the gyro on startup.

Turn on your Tx, then connect the battery without moving the heli, your gyro takes about 20 secs to initialise, then attach canopy and fly!
              regards

Hey, where d'you learn to fly? I saw you shoot your rocket
              up.............. into the sky.

Hey, I heard you set the pace, I never thought I'd see you back................ in this old place!

Thanks mate, yes the other evening when she was spinning mad I now know what I did wrong, as I attached the canopy while she was beeping and electronically setting herself up.

Done the same last night, then I thought, power everything down, wait till the beeps stop then replace the canopy and everything was fine.

Moral of this story is I didn't really need to adjust all the trims, the only good point is I adjusted everything from scratch and got her flying again so I guess it was good practice and something positive came out of it.

Last night I had her up to about 18 feet, flew her 30 feet forward then reversed her back, kept her in one spot while Keith took photo's

Got through three batt packs, funny thing was and it happened before, where I was concentrating so much towards the end I was going (for a better description) crossed eyed and had to focus more on what I was doing.

looking forward to todays sessions, perfect weather again, yay.

Plus I look forward to showing you my progress since the other day in your garden.
