I've swapped 2 and 3 and tried everything else to get my head round why if the swash tilts back the heli doesn't do as I expect,but now this gyroscopic precession theory and this visit makes a lot of sense,thanks guys.

So the swash now tilts in the direction you move the stick?

• Stick forward = swash forward (front down)
• Stick back = swash back (rear down)
• Stick left = swash left (left down)
• Stick right = swash right (right down)

If so then it's all ok, if not there is something wrong.

Make sure that all the servos are in normal on the rx and just run through the setup again. If there in the right ports it will work its self out right by going through the wizzard.

Ok I'm sorry for my stupidness!I'm getting you now about the swash moving in the direction I want the heli to move if the swash moves up at the back the blade on the left is given neg pitch due to trailing edge control and the right is given pos pitch so due to gyroscopic precession this lifts the back of the heli (90 degrees after and all that)that's working fine for elevator,trouble is the aileron is back to font(stick left swash moves right)now I understand I can reverse the aileron in the tx but the software tells me not to reverse anything in the tx after this stage,I've tried swapping 2and3 it just messed collective up!they are definitely plugged into the ports the software recommendeds,I appreciate your patience,just wanted to know if I should reverse aileron in tx or if I've missed something earlier?I'm set to spektrum satellite's digital centre as im using 2x dsm2 sats Im told this is correct?ps all the bars in the earlier stage of setting up tx move in the correct direction on the setup program.

Digital centre is correct for DSM-2 satellites.

After you swapped channels 2 and 3, you might need to go back to the servos tab and re-do the reversing until all three work together. Collective stick up, swash goes down. Stick down, swash goes up.

You can change collective in your radio - reverse the pitch channel.

While I'm sure that would work, it's not recommended, and there's no need to do it with Vbar.

It's as simple as raising the stick watching the swash arms, then clicking reverse for the servos that went the wrong way. IE, the ones that went up, not down.

So now I've set reciever to digital centre and all the controls don't match what they say on the screen,it says set tx as h1???and disable all mixers for swash and tail in tx???guess I wasn't set on right reciever type earlier,now need to figure out how to set as h1 and disable mixers??

Ok so h1 is heli#1 I think need to figure out how to disable mixers in tx,do I need to change channel numbers in boxes on screen to match tx channels?

Right, I think we are almost there!...

Follow the setup steps exactly. You turn off any swash mixing in the Tx, you can tell that swash mixing is off because when you move the stick only one bar in the 'Transm' screen will move. You only reverse channels in the Tx if you need to do so to get the bars to move the correct way in the 'Transm' screen. It's imperitive that once you have the bars moving the correct way that you dont reverse any channels in the Tx after that... This is critical.

If you have followed all the setup steps and if it's as you describe in the text i highlighted (elevator operates the correct way but left and right aileron is reversed) then all you have to do is:

1. Swap the left and right cyclic servos (channel 2 and 3) where they plug into the Kbar
2. In the 'Servos' tab reverse channels 2 and 3

That's great,thanks,I've had to set it to spektrum satellite's 1+2 instead of spektrum satellite's digital centre though do you think this will be ok?digital centre made nothing work,now the swash is doing what I want,you are an absolute star and I'm sorry for telling you I can count!I was plugging them in how the software told me(damn computers)

Great work! Sounds like it's fine to me.

Others have commented on the software being wrong in relation to servos two and three. I never think much about it to be honest, I just plug them in and random and if it does what yours was doing I swap them over and reverse channels.

That didn't go as planned,I'm beginning to think this isn't for me,had a play earlier and let it get light on the skids the nose started to lift slightly so I gave it a tiny bit of forward cyclic,well it did the quickest backflip ever recorded resulting in a bent tail,exploded tail drive,stripped gear and missing swash linkage!!do you know the best site for spares?I reckon I'll fix it up and move it on,too complex for a 6channel newbie.
