Gazza, yes mate it does sometimes make you think "sod it" but this hobby is like gravity you can never pull yourself away from it.
I'd miss it to much, and as now I'm starting to fly the real stuff it's too exciting, practising on Phoenix and I'm dead excited about the weekend.
Plus building my first Trex from scratch, I'm chomping at the bit until that happens a few months from now.
Brin, hi mate, the motors were just the straight forward E-flite jobbies, they pop out with no trouble, I would advise on taking the shafts off as the lower gears make it practically impossible to attain a good screwdriver fix.
All I done when finished was adjust the Gain and P/Pot to suit the new parts, but for the next few weeks I'll be making a few adjustments until the motors wear in.
That's really about it mate, just built her back up and it was back to normal, only I never realised how slow my old motors had become until the new ones roared off.
