Down the pub or a reputable dealer that knows what they are talking about. (obviously not)

I would think it should show you something with the nvidia chipset. Even if it may be unplayably stuttery. They aren't totally terrible, probably comparable with the mid to high end cards of 4 years ago. Might have to turn details and resolutions right down to get useable performance.

Not loading at all says to me driver problems or something strange with the way pheonix is coded.

You heard anything back from Pheonix themselves?

                      Pheonix -

Phoenix are helping, but with no luck just yet, and I think we can class 'Fastlads', as a reputable dealer, tho admittedly not in PC software.

dont take this personally coz it aint intended that way........There are ppl out there who dont understand pc's(fair enuff) but if ppl dont know what is inside their pc's how can retailers say that something will run or not???? Coz they sure as hell dont know what is inside a customers pc.

Not taken, mate. My thoughts too. If the PC was prob in its original format they were prob correct, but its been rebuilt.

I've got the side off now, it had to have anew motherboard, which is a VSTA from ASROCK and from what I can see there are two PCI slots tho one is in use, so there is a spare one. Now the question is would I just need a new graphics card to slot straight in?,,,and.... would this make Phoenix work.

The phoenix guys have sent me a new option file, which I've saved, but, guess what.......the PC cant open it.

Why cant things ever be simple.

PCI graphics cards would probably be worse than current onboard. Really you should be looking at AGP as a minimum stopgap, or PCI-e for all modern cards.

If your pc doesnt support these then I'd say save your time and money and not bother attempting any updates to this PC. It really should already be able to show you at least something even in its current state.

What format is the file? Zip, Rar? Are there instructions to just copy it to somewhere in the pheonix directory?
