  • I finally bought Phoenix and......

    IT WONT *******PLAY.

I keep getting error encountered initialising graphics card, install latest.

I thought they were the ******latest!

After 3 month of trying to avoid buying the thing, at last I succumbed today, and what *******happens. Its just so annoying, dont you just hate computers!

I've emailed phoenix anyway for time being, so who knows.

    I COULD CRUSH A GRAPE!

Would double check that you do have the latest drivers for your graphics card. Otherwise a quick email or phone to Phoenix should do the trick.

It's toilet when this happens, luckly fear not the guys at Phoenix offer customer support thats second to none, and I know there'll have you up and running in no time.

Just a thought, you did try it with the default build of 4.01, as there's been some G/Card conflicts in the past with updates that have been quickly resolved.

If you do uninstall it via add remove programs don't forget to delete the files in Program Files & My Documents.

I had exactly the same problem come up last week, Phoenix had been working fine in the morning, went to have a go in the afternoon (not that I'm addicted at all), and had the same error message come up re: graphics card etc. Emailed Phoenix and they sent a updated file and hey presto, up and running again. Fantastic customer service, resolved within 20 minutes of me contacting them.

                  Regards

                  Dave

Thanks for all your input, I know sod all about the workings of a PC, but I have seen NVIDIA on the programs list. Is this the graphics thingy?

At the moment I am really struggling with the 400, I can use the FMS sim with the 3d no probs, but just cannot even hover the ******thing in the flesh. Thats why I bought the Phoenix, because I am that close to calling it a day! It really is getting to me. Buying this was a faint hope of me being able to progress. It really seems to be the final nail that it wont bloody work!

Get the 400 test hovered at a club 1st make sure its actually set up right 1st. After that the learning curve is not easy it just takes time, lots of little hops and chasing the heli around the field or at least thats how I learnt.

gazza has already flown this heli as far as I am aware and says its fine unless its hit the deck since and been re-built.
