Christ, 10 minutes ago I must have shit myself at least three times in one setting.
Been to Inwoods today after speaking to Ian, who'd kindly attached Deans plugs to my ESC and new Batt, were going back on Thursday so the aerial can be replaced plus to check over the settings on the servos etc.
So in my wisdom I though a (few mins ago) lets see the rotas in action, so i weighed down the skids to avoid any mishaps turned the tranny to the 450 model (so I thought) but didn't then connected the batt.
Ohh dear what a mistake, the bloody thing came to life and must have reached full throttle with me laying besides it thinking what the hell do I do now?????
I managed to disconnect the bat terminals after about 10 seconds of shear terror, then she wound down to a stop.
The motor had a slight burning smell afterwards and was quite hot, is this normal, I hope I haven't done any damage to the motor, its wasn't going for more than ten seconds before I stopped her.
So in light of this...."well my pratish behavior" I'm leaving well alone until Thursday, I was thinking what might have happened had I tried this outdoors, as I wouldn't have had the skids weighed down and lets be honest she'd have gone up and never be seen again......*#*#*#*#
I'm just a little worried about that burning smell from the motor have I fried something?

hopefully no harm done.

A couple of hundred years ago some nutter would be telling me this is a message from the God's to give up now and stay alive.

(Now with 3GX)

and under the pressure with you doing about five things at once, I felt a bit guilty when I realised how in demand you were while sorting out my connections and all.
