A lot depends on how deep your pockets are and how much you like flying helis; but as a generalisation you can't go wrong at beginner level with the Blade helis, mcx, mcx2, msr, msr-x and so on. These are mainly intended for indoor use because of their size but don't think that a big coax (twin blade) heli is any better, they are heavier so land harder and don't handle wind.
When you've mastered those above then you could go for a 'proper' heli - at least a 450 size like Blade 450 3D or the TRex range. In between this a sim like Phoenix would help - crashes cost nothing, but it's not the same as live flying.
Good luck

not necessarily harder, but they are quicker and more responsive so you need to be on top of them a little more.As Darwil says the eflite blade series of heli's are an ideal beginning to the hobby
Blade - #1 By Designhe contra mcx/scout if I were you, I would bypass, you would probably find them very undemanding.
also note that if you are a quick learner you may out grow your choice rapidly ,so if you choose an msr you may soon want an mcpx,if you choose an mcpx you may soon want an blade 450 ,do your homework dont rush into it,find a hobby shop or someone that are able to demo each heli for you.

first decide where you want to be in the hobby.
indoor/outdoor?. do you want to fly aerobatic/3d style? are you more into scale helicopters? are you happy to fly what you have or do you get impatient to upgrade?
look at what each heli offers in your scheme,do the homework around the forum. and finaly set a rough budget, but expect to spend double/triple that

the honeybee isn't a particularly good heli, it will fly but needs lots of tlc!
its very tempting to look at cheaper options such as esky/century/walkera. but in general I would say stick to eflite/align/thundertiger etc

the trex 100 is a small micro fixed pitch heli that uses its own dedicated transmitter,It hasn't become as popular as was expected because the e'flite blade msr has cornered that particular market.(its biggest advantage being it can use any spektrum transmitter).I personally have never flown the trex 100 but have flown the msr which is a great little heli, not capable of upside down flight but can manage a loop if you build up enough speed, and will fly out doors in a slight breeze but if the wind gets it its gone
this was in about 5/6 mph breeze the crash at the end resulted in no damage despite hitting the wall
