I've had mine a couple of weeks now and probably flown 20 packs with it fitted. The ZYX unit is excellent.I downloaded the JohnNZ software and find it is superb - at least as good as VBar software IMO.I had a difficulty getting the dongle to work but that was a laptop problem. Now I have that sorted in connects in a second every time I plug it in.Don't try and programme it with the sticks its just not worth the effort! The dongle's about 3 quid!I bought a Tarot FBL head - what a piece of junk - the bearings slop about in the blade grips. DFC head needed!

I should add that after sorting the head the heli flew absolutely superbly from the first flight. All I had to do was ease the tail gain up a little as it wasn't holding quite as good as I'd liked in very fast, hard banked turns. I just can't believe how good it is (at the moment LOL)

Here you go : Flybarless Gyro Programming Software

Download the software (right hand side), it's much better than the original tarot software.

ok = got a question... the ZYX system, is it ok to install it inside my 450 pro? just under the main shaft? (it's where my receiver is at the moment) as I like a clean set up.
Then I can just place the receiver on top where the gyro is now.

I ordered the USB link as well with my zyx purchase

No reason why not so long as you can get the connector in the side to connect to the PC (and preferably the little button on teh other side). I have the opposite on my Pro - Rx under the mainshaft and ZYX on the boom block

^^ thanks. I just don't want too many cables showing. a friend of mine has the 450 pro V2 and he's got his 3gx on the boom block and all the cables showing even tho he tried to hide most of them inside the frame.

I was thinking if i placed the ZYX under the main shaft inside the frame, the only cable that will be noticeable will be one single cable going to the receiver on the boom block. (I hope)

You'll have a few more than that I'm afraid - there are 3 cables going between ZYX and Rx (one of which splits into 3 connections) plus the Throttle.

                          Cheers,
                          Mike.

                            ouch. really?
so which one will have the most connections to them?
                            zyx or
                            receiver?

                            edit:
actually, my package just arrived from hobbyking. i'll open it in a bit and will check. now i'll need to order DFC head

There's the same number of connectors to the Tarot as the receiver

ordered the DFC head this morning from align-trex. hopefully get to me tomorrow so i can start the transformation from FB to FBL on my 450 pro. I hope I have not made a mistake getting the ZYX rather than, say, a 3GX (i'm paranoid about anything cheap)
