Makes me jealous that I've not got mine done yet.

Hi, I have had one of these on my tarot 450 pro for a few months now And have had zero probs with it. All my settings were as the manual stated and all i had to change was the gains on aileron and elevator a few points down. The heli feels well locked in now, much more than it did with a flybar.
This vid is of its first flight before tweeking it, btw I'm no hard 3d pilot.

can i ask - does this need a separate receiver? or can this use satellites and eliminate the need for a separate receiver?

EDIT: i've just searched - this version needs full receiver. there's a new Tarot ZYX-S out now that has support for satellite

Finally got mine fitted tonight. Think it's all setup correctly but a little confused on the pirouette compensation. What should I be looking for with this. EDIT (Think I've sussed this now)

Have to say that the USB or programming box are a must.

Just got to setup pitch curve then a test flight.

Well just given it a test flight and wow is it twitchy. It's my first flybarless so I'm a little twitchy myself at take off as I've heard so many things about them tipping over. One thing I did notice is that I cant run a high gain on the gyro otherwise it starts wagging like a dog. I'm set at 60% in the tx. maybe I need to have a faf around in the software.

I would move the servo ball in. I have found the suggested servo ball positions unworkable on my configuration. My initial setup used the suggested positions and I have violent oscillations, even with the gains as low as I dared. Once I moved the balls in (on mine, they're as close as possible) the setup now works

Will double check my balls :-)... I think they are fairly close to the book figures already but can harm to check again.

Not from me. Poor weather, DIY, kids and work has been pretty prohibitive on me getting any heli time.

I'll update - i've been suffering horrendous elevator bounce - the culprit (and this will prob teach people to suck eggs) was CofG - I understand most flybarless units are very sensitive to CofG so double check this guys
